London, England: Notting Hill and Portobello Market

Notting Hill is one of the must-visit districts in London, after all, how many places have movies named after them, starring Julia Roberts no less? Portobello Road, which claims to be the "world's largest antiques market" is just a street away. Portobello Market is open most days of the week, but the 2 best days to visit are Fridays and Saturdays (best). The goods sold range from Antiques & Bric-A-Brac, Fruits and Veges, Fashion Market and Second Hand Goods.

Before heading to Notting Hill, I dropped by THE Paddington Station, which the Bear is named after (because he was found at the station).

My classmate got me this (well-made) Paddington keychain in Primary School. 20 years on, he's finally back to his hometown.

Upon exiting the Notting Hill station, you are greeted by quaint and colourful houses.

I got a lost amidst the beautiful houses and finally found my way to the Portobello Market area. Tip: just follow the crowd.

There's not much street food to have, but there are cafes that you can pop in and out of while flea market shopping!

From Notting Hill, it is very easy to walk to Kensington Palace and its Garden. More on that to come.
